This Young Woman Was Insanely Imprisoned For 6 Long Years By Her Parents

In central China this week, authorities are investigating how exactly a young woman spent the last six years locked inside an abandoned building on her parents' property. Allegedly, 24-year-old Zhang Qi was intentionally locked up by her parents.
The reason? They didn't like her boyfriend and she refused to breakup with him.

These images of the terrible conditions inside the building were taken by another villager who then alerted regional police.

 

The abuse had been taking place since 2009.

Chow Jen, the villager who took the photos, also leaked them online because local police refused to interfere. He says Qi's parents are "powerful people," but he doesn't care.

"Everyone knew about the girl in the house. I moved away and only come back to visit occasionally so I don't care about their threats," said Jen.
