Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao is planning to buy a mansion once owned by international superstar Jennifer Lopez in Beverly Hills, California.
Pacquiao, who is in the US to train for his upcoming May 2 bout against American boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr., told ANC on Tuesday that he went house-hunting.
“Nag-offer na ako. Maganda kasi 'yung bahay tapos gated siya and hindi basta basta 'yung tao makakapunta,” he said.
Although he refused to divulge the amount of his offer, Pacquiao clarified that he is still in the process of negotiation. A TV report earlier said the house costs $12 million or over P500 million.
“Nagtatawaran pa,” he said, laughing.
Pacquiao said among the house's features that he liked is the saltwater swimming pool.
Meanwhile, the Filiipno boxer also reported that he has started training with his coach, Freddie Roach.
“'Yung training so far so good. Maganda naman. Today is the first day [of my training with Freddie Roach] and happy naman siya. We are focusing on what we are going to do in the last six weeks of our training. Nagfo-focus kami sa strategy and style,” he said.
Pacquiao said he has to be in tip-top condition for what is probably the most important fight in his career.
“Nasa Panginoon na kung paano tayo mananalo. Ang focus natin ngayon is maging 100% physically and higit sa lahat, spiritually and mentally focused,” he said.
