For 12 Hours, This Elephant Was Slowly Drowning In Mud, But You Must Keep Watching
A young male elephant found himself in a tight (or should I say muddy?) spot recently. He was stuck in a mud pit in southern Kenya for up to 12 long hours before a backhoe was enlisted to dig him out.
It was clear that he was exhausted from struggling to get out...

If the hole had been just a bit deeper, the poor guy might have drowned.
He could hardly see above the muck.
But local farmers came to the rescue, calling in the big guns to dig him out of the slippery, steep clay pit.

You can see how tired the little (big...um, little-big?) guy was once he made his way out of the mess. We hope he got some rest after he found the rest of his family!
